entering_danger_zone_in_poor_visibility2 Ridge Explorations offers friendly, year-round outdoor education and guiding for adventurers at an affordable price. We specialize in avalanche classes and avalanche education in the Seattle area.

Summer programs include wilderness canoe trips, remote mountain backpacking, sailing lessons, boater education, and marine navigation classes. Winter programs include avalanche safety classes in Seattle, Redmond, Issaquah, and other locations through Ridge Explorations Avalanche Education, and Introduction to Ski touring, and guided ski touring. Our specialty is in avalanche education, and we have been running avalanche classes in the Seattle area for over 20 years.

New for the 2010-11 season: AIARE Avalanche Courses!!

We are in the process of joining the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE).
