Ontario Canoe Trips Wabakimi Canoe Trip - Late August 2012
Canoeing requires only basic paddle experience. Each day’s travel will include a varied mix of big lakes, small lakes, small rivers, rapids & falls (to be portaged around). Portages (carrying gear on a trail) vary from 50 yards to ½ mile, mostly 200 yards. Great potential for the following wildlife: Walleye, pike, moose and woodland caribou, osprey, wolves, owls, mink, marten, and beaver. The walleye fishing is world class! After paddling eight days in beautiful Wabakimi Park, we are picked up by a floatplane to return to hot tubs, showers and hearty lodge dining. Adventure Backpacking British Columbia Coast Mountains Toba Traverse: Scrambling Granite Ridges 7 Days—August 2012
The Toba Traverse trip follows a ridge system on the British Columbia coast above the spectacular salt water fjord named Toba Inlet 200 miles north of the city of Vancouver. The area is a rugged alpine wilderness of granite spines and small alpine lakes clothed in heather meadows and dark green forests. We fly to a high lake and hike and scramble for 5 days to another lake, then fly back to the lodge in the city of Powell River, BC. for hot showers and departure for home.
